Personally, I get very upset when people don’t ack rite. When they’re not living up to their potential or doing what they already know they should be doing. I lose respect for them, and I DON’T want to not respect the people in my life; I don’t feel good about it, and I don’t feel good about them. I get filled with hate and rage and want to punish. It’s all bad karma in the end: negative mindstates, loss of time and energy to replaying the incident in my head, even having entire full conversations with that person in my head, feeling bad for the hurt and suffering I caused them and myself. It’s all bad.
But I recently received some paradigm-shifting advice. I share it with you now:
All humans around the world only share one thing. It is not Love; it is not Kindness; it is not Anger. There is only one thing that all humans beings have in common around the world: Imperfection.
We are all flawed. No one has their shit together. Everyone is a sinner. Everyone is struggling.
If you want to be free, if you want to be focused on your goals, if you want to worry less, there is one thing that helps: Ask for forgiveness. And at the same time, forgive those who have sinned against you. This will give you freedom and power.
You can try hard to be perfect, but it will not happen because it is not human nature to be perfect. The only solution for this is forgiveness.
So take one day a month where you forgive one person. And on the same day, ask one person you sinned against for forgiveness. It will move away a big stone from your soul, and so much positive energy comes to you. You will be more free, more powerful, and more focused after that.
